Improve Your Confidence Image With This 1 Secret

(What the Color of Your Teeth Say About You)

(by Mrs. Globe Team)

There are many things judges look for when choosing a winner: A delegate's stage presence, their personal style, and how well a delegate articulates herself. But did you know that behind that, what the judges are really looking for is confidence - and one way you can improve your confidence image is with your smile.

Studies have shown that people with a bright smile are perceived as more attractive, trustworthy, and drum roll please - confident! That is why the Mrs. Globe® Investigatory Team is taking this issue of our newsletter to highlight three of the best at home teeth whiteners for your next competition and lifestyle choices to keep your pearly whites sparkling.

At Home Teeth Whitening Choices

When it comes to at home whitening products, there are a variety of products available. Here are the options:

1. Whitening toothpaste: Whitening toothpaste contains mild abrasive agents that can help remove surface stains from teeth. Used like regular toothpaste, these can lightly brighten your teeth, but they don’t work for deep stains.

2. At-home whitening kits: At-home whitening kits use a bleaching gel that is applied to a custom-fitted tray and worn for a designated amount of time each day. While these kits are more effective than whitening toothpaste, they can cause tooth sensitivity.

3. Purple toothpaste: Where does charcoal black, plus purple, plus yellow equal white? The answer is “with purple toothpaste.” This innovative toothpaste is created with an ingredient called activated charcoal. In many industries, charcoal is designed to treat highly porous material. When used in toothpaste, the activated charcoal works to absorb the stains and discoloration on teeth. Combine that with whitening agents like hydrogen peroxide or baking soda and you have a competition. These substances work to break down the stains on the surface of the teeth, allowing the activated charcoal to absorb them more easily. Combine this charcoal with the other brightening ingredients and this is our vote for the best product to use for at home teeth whitening.

Professional Note: It is important to note that whitening toothpastes can effectively whiten teeth, and make a significant impact on your pageant performance. But no matter what, they are not a substitute for regular dental care. Brushing with these toothpastes should be done in conjunction with regular brushing, flossing, and visits to the dentist. Additionally, the prolonged use of whitening toothpaste can potentially damage the enamel on teeth if used too often or too vigorously. See the individual products for proper usage.
